If vets are so honored why are so many homeless?



In 2014, an average of 20 Veterans died from suicide each day. 6 of the 20 were users of VA services. In 2014, Veterans accounted for 18% of all deaths from suicide among U.S. adults, while Veterans constituted 8.5% of the US population.

In January 2014, communities across America identified 49,933 homeless veterans during point-in-time counts, which represents 8.6% of the total homeless population.
